Music is not the purpose of our Worship Team, loving God and loving each other is.
Do you realise that you have been chosen for a specific purpose? You may feel that your purpose is to be a member of this Worship Team as a singer, or musician, or sound dude, or worship leader, all of which are noble pursuits.
However, God has made it clear in His word (Isaiah 43) that we have been chosen for His purpose. What we choose to do as a member on this Worship Team is but an expression of our true purpose.
Our vision for Worship Team 24/7 has grown from the desire to live in constant relationship with God where we seek to give Him all glory, loving Him with all our heart and soul and mind. And to express God's relationship with us, through our relationships with each other, looking out not for our own intersetes, but the interests of others. Philippians 2
"Our vision for Worship Team 24/7 is to be a God focussed worship community that endeavours to see God glorified in all of life."
We focus on three important relationships that define what Jesus was talking about in Matthew 22, and what our vision is based on. Our relationship with our Holy Creator, relationships with each other that is our Community, and the relationship that we develop with our Craft.
If you place these relationships in their correct order, Creator, Community, Craft, you will always direct attention from yourself and onto God. You will naturally be building strong relationships with people; your craft will become an investment into glorifying God, and building the worship community.
